Are you all set on wedding location yet? No?

No worries, we’re always here to help. Here are some of our favourite venue ideas that aren’t your typical churchyard or manor house…

Music festival fields

Now, this doesn’t mean you need to literally go and rent out the Glastonbury fields. But the idea of pitched tents in the English countryside is becoming increasingly popular for summer weddings. The bohemian-looking yurt is perfect for this. Add some flower crowns and a live band for the perfect country occasion.

Barns

A warning with this one as they are high in demand! The rustic barn filled with twinkling fairy lights or colourful jar lanterns, completed with hay barrels and mismatched flour arrangements makes this a wonderfully rustic theme for the inner rural you.

Castles

Will they ever go out of fashion? We don’t think so. Weddings are the one day that a man and women have all attention on them, they will remember it for the rest of their lives. So why not feel like a prince and princess for the day? High ceilings, thick velvet drapes and chandeliers; bold jewel colours and gold jumping back into fashion, what better location to compliment them?

Country gardens

The quintessentially British location. Couples seem to be finally making the most of the wonderful and elaborate countryside Britain has to offer. Think secret garden. Line the aisle with some rose covered archways and drape the surrounding trees in fairy lights for a truly romantic occasion.

Abroad

With travel easier and cheaper every day, going abroad is not the ordeal it used to be. Whilst boats aren’t the stylish location they used to be, beach weddings remain beautifully natural. Just make sure it’s somewhere remote, no one wants to hear the busy coastal restaurants and bar over the vows.

Hopefully that has given you some ideas for where to set your special day.

And remember, we’re always here to help out with your stationery, even if you don’t know where to start.
